It’s exciting to be on the cutting-edge of a revolution in 3D visualization. Massively parallel GPUs combined with an explosion of sensors will fundamentally change the way we collect, render, view, and interact with spatial data. We build software that allows people to visualize and analyze the world around them with incredible detail in real-time. Not just the world as it was a few months ago, but as it is right now.

Imagine a soldier being able to instantly see the position of an enemy sniper in a building around the corner before he makes the turn. Imagine forensic experts being able to examine a crime scene in incredible detail before it has been contaminated. Imagine a TV studio, movie set, or sports arena without camera men, where the director is able to place a virtual camera just about anywhere to get the shot.

Building these solutions requires throwing out traditional 3D algorithms and geospatial data processes. We need to invent new techniques covering a variety of disciplines, including 3D graphics, big data, computer vision, image processing, computational geometry, and distributed systems. We need to apply these new solutions to world-class products for our customers.

Help Us Build This Future

Spatial Cognition is looking for extremely talented people to join our development team at an early stage. This is an opportunity to join a startup environment with stable funding and focus on developing truly revolutionary solutions to problems that haven’t been solved, delivering high-quality products to engaged and excited customers, and helping us chart the future direction of our company as we grow.

We offer extremely competitive salaries and the opportunity to build shares in an exciting venture before a large round of equity investment. We are located in the bustling Uptown Oakland neighborhood, a couple blocks from BART and in the heart of the city’s touted restaurant, bar, theater, and arts scene. Although our team meets on regular basis, there may be opportunities to work remotely.
